Job Summary

MediServices was founded in 2014 by a group of clinicians who had identified a need for an increase in capacity across neurophysiology departments.
Our aim was simple: to support NHS trusts to relieve waiting list pressures and enable departments to run at maximum efficiency. After successfully developing a track record of providing high-quality neurophysiology services across the UK, we are now expanding our service provision to include additional clinical specialties such as ultrasound.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this post is to develop the Neurophysiology service. The post-holder will be required to deliver regular adult EMG clinics (c15 outpatients), as well as provide an ad-hoc portable EMG service for inpatients. The role is nationwide, however, the candidate will mostly be based in the northwest of England with significant clinics in that area. The post holder will support the upcoming physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics and be expected to support with training. Other duties include adult and paediatric EEG reporting. We aim to improve and expand the current department to include ambulatory EEG and to broaden electrophysiology services. The candidate will be encouraged to remain committed to continuous professional development, audit and revalidation. Mentorship will be arranged by the governance team.
