Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS) uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. A small handheld device called a probe is moved over the skin to produce real-time pictures of organs, tissues, muscles or vessels.

Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS) is completely safe, does not involve radiation and can be used to assess a wide range of conditions.

Abdominal and Pelvic Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS)

• Comprehensive scan of the abdominal cavity and pelvic organs
• Used to investigate pain, bloating, urinary symptoms or abnormal blood results

Abdominal and Renal Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS)

• Evaluates the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys and bladder
• Commonly used for suspected stones, cysts, infections or abnormal blood tests

Abdominal Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS)

• Focused scan of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen
• Supports referrals for liver disease, gallstones or upper abdominal symptoms

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS)

• Examines muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints
• Used for pain, swelling, tears or soft tissue injuries (shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle)

Pelvic Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS)

• Assesses the uterus and ovaries (female pelvis) or prostate (male pelvis)
• Often used for menstrual issues, fibroids, postmenopausal bleeding or prostate concerns
