The Challenge

The Kings fund recently highlighted the pressures on the NHS with an ever increasing number of patients requiring access to services.

The Kings Fund also highlighted the pressures on the NHS with key performance targets being missed regularly. As we recover from COVID-19 the NHS will be under greater pressure. The BBC recently estimated the number of people waiting for appointments will increase to 10 million by the end of the year.

The Solution

MediServices Health

MediServices Healthcare offers capacity solutions helping to clear backlogs.

MediServices Healthcare works closely with the team at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT) offering an overflow service ensuring patients are seen quicker supporting both outpatient services and spinal services in theatre.

MediServices works along side hospital teams allowing increased capacity and helps clear waiting times and backlogs improving patient care. We work with each department understanding the pressures the services are under and coming up with solutions that work locally. Andile Siziba a Director at MediServices comments:

The future of the Service

The key to any clinical service is sound clinical governance. As a GMC designated body our Medical Director (Responsible Officer) Dr Adrian Fowle leads the Medical Advisory Committee and the Clinical Governance team. We are ISO9001 accredited ensuring strong processes that are continually updated.

We recently completed Phase 1 of IQIPS accreditation for our diagnostic services. As a CQC registered organisation we are regulated and meet national standards. MediServices offers services nationwide assisting thousands of patients each year. Anabela Ferreira Operations Director adds:
