Our aim at MediServices Social Care is to make a difference in the lives of all our services users. Our services are comprehensive and take a holistic approach.
MediServices provides an environment which recognises each person’s individual needs, promotes independence and champions choice. We provide a bespoke service that puts the service user first. A service that is clear and easily understandable.
We care and support individuals aged 18 and over with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, require personal care, physical disabilities or dementia. Our team is highly skilled in providing specialist care.
Our support and care service looks to increase independence and we work with service users offering individualised care. Our team looks to understand each service user’s interests and we offer a range of activities using both community resources and day trips. We also where possible look to help our service users to find work and to be engaged within their community.
We look to increase independence using a person-centred approach which empowers service users and improves quality of life. Our team completes and constantly updates care plans and risk assessments working closely with health professionals, families and the service user. We have robust safeguarding systems with a governance team that meets monthly ensuring our quality management systems are updated.
Short Heath House
Short Heath House is a property located within the heart of north Birmingham. This property is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the Erdington train station, with connections to Birmingham town centre and other major connections. There are also bus routes, with frequent services connecting the area to Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, and Tamworth.
There are also 3 local G.P surgeries, 2 local pharmacies and a dental surgery within the area. The property is also located a short distance from High Croft Hospital part of Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust.
